Agencies spend 2-3 hours per campaign manually researching keywords, writing compliant ad copy, and ensuring strict character limits (30 chars for headlines, 90 for descriptions). This manual process is expensive, error-prone, and doesn't scale.
How We Built It
Custom Web Crawler Architecture
Developed a server-side web scraping service that analyzes landing pages in real-time, extracting titles, headings, product features, and keywords. The crawler feeds structured data to our AI prompt engineering system to ensure ad copy aligns with actual page content.
Secure AI Integration Layer
Implemented Vercel serverless functions as a secure proxy between the client and Anthropic's Claude 4 Sonnet API. This architecture keeps API keys server-side while enabling real-time ad generation with smart truncation algorithms that preserve word boundaries within Google's strict character limits (30 chars for headlines, 90 for descriptions).
Multi-Campaign Generation Engine
Built separate AI services for each campaign type: Search campaigns (15 headlines, 4 descriptions, callouts, contextual sitelinks), Performance Max (15 headlines, 5 long headlines, descriptions, image assets), and Demand Gen (YouTube and Display-optimized creative assets). Each service uses campaign-specific prompt engineering and validation logic.
Persistent State Management
Created a dual-persistence system using localStorage for session recovery and Supabase PostgreSQL for permanent storage. Form data syncs across all wizard steps with Row-Level Security policies ensuring data isolation per user.
Export & Integration Pipeline
Engineered multiple export formats: CSV/XLSX (standard spreadsheet export with character validation), Google Ads Editor (TSV format with proper escaping and campaign structure), Google Sheets API (OAuth-authenticated spreadsheet creation with professional formatting), and Google Ads API (direct campaign upload via OAuth with multi-account support).
Enterprise Authentication & Billing
Integrated Clerk for authentication with Stripe for subscription management. Built custom webhook handlers to sync subscription status with Supabase, enabling trial management and feature gating based on payment status.
